Irish singer and performer TOLÜ MAKAY wore a selection of Annie Leona pieces throughout her recent Irish tour, People Still Cry in Summer. Across the performances, the garments took on a new life on stage — becoming part of a world shaped by movement, music and TOLÜ’s distinctive presence.
A SHOOT WITH NATHAN MAGEE
One of the loveliest surprises from Tolü Makay’s Cork performance came afterwards, when photographer Nathan Magee (Paper trees) shared a series of beautifully captured images from the night. Seeing the pieces through another creative eye gave them an entirely new atmosphere: refined, unexpected and beautifully removed from the world in which they were first imagined.
