In 2025, Annie Leona was invited to bring a little piece of Ireland to the world of French fashion, showcasing in Cannes alongside the excitement of the annual film festival.
Across three days on the French Riviera, the studio presented its work among an international mix of designers, creatives and industry guests; a world away from the quiet landscapes that so often inspire the collections. Against the glamour and pace of Cannes, the contrast felt especially meaningful: Irish linen, folklore and rural memory carried into an entirely different setting.

Bringing a sense of home to Cannes marked a special moment for Annie Leona. It was an opportunity to share the stories, textures and traditions that shape the studio with a new audience, and to see pieces rooted so deeply in Ireland find their place within an international fashion setting.
For a young independent studio, the experience became more than a showcase; It remains a defining chapter in the Annie Leona story, and a reminder that even the quietest ideas can travel far.
